Festoon Collects Pocketbooks for a Purpose - Clare House
On September 2nd, First Friday from 9am to 9pm
Bring your "gently used" pocketbooks to Festoon in the Shops at the Hager Arcade. They will be donated to Lancaster's Clare House for girls of all ages.
Pocketbook Launch Party starts at 7pm
Over 1,000 pocketbooks donated at our first Friday Event...all for the Clare House.

"The launch of Pocketbook, Festoon's new hand-held publication, reminded me that we all like to have a new style when our lives change", explains Kathy Frey Terkeltaub, Festoon owner. "I have been a sponsor of Clare House in Lancaster at different levels for several years. As I worked on Festoon's Pocketbook, I got the idea to collect "gently used" pocketbooks in our store on September's First Friday and throughout the month of September. These pocketbooks will then be donated to Clare House for the women through their transition". Clare House serves homeless women and children by providing a temporary home in a caring environment, life skills programs and after care support leading to self sufficiency. "Part of Festoon's Pocketbook includes our mission statement - 'To awaken and inspire with passion the creative spirit within those we serve'. I love providing our customers with a way to connect our community by donating a pocketbook that will become part of someone's new start".
